What is a Qualified Bookkeeper?

A qualified bookkeeper meets or exceeds the skills required to do the job and is determined by the person making the hiring decision.  We provide screening tools to assist in the search to find that qualified candidate.

 

Why should I use QualifiedBookkeepers.com?
QualifiedBookkeepers.com offers Job Seekers the ability to stand out from the crowd by advertising their skills through our various Skill Tests.

Do you keep my credit card information on file?
No.  QualifiedBookkeepers.com uses Authorize.net to process your credit cards and has opted to not retain any credit card information.  We do not offer automatic renewals and require you to re-enter your credit card information for each service purchase. However, once you enter your billing address information the first time, you won't have to re-enter it again, unless you use a credit card with a different billing address.

 

Is my private information secure?
Yes. All the information provided to QualifiedBookkeepers.com is secure and will not be given to third parties without your direct consent.  Our checkout cart and payment processing pages use 2048 bit SSL encryption. Please see our Privacy Statement for more information.

 

How do I log in if I forgot my username/password?
If you have a user account and forgot your password, click the "forgot password' link that is below the sign in fields, and a new password will be sent to the email address
on file for your account. The password sent to you will be system generated (not easy to remember), so we suggest changing it to something else after logging in. Just go to your Dashboard, and click on the Account pane, then change your password.

 

How do I change my account email address?
Log in to your account, go to My Dashboard, and choose the "Account" pane. You can edit your password and email address from this page.

 

How do I reset my account password?
Log in to your account, go to My Dashboard, and choose the "Account" pane. You can edit your password and email address from this page.

 

Can I have multiple accounts using the same email address?
No, but QualifiedBookkeepers.com is set up flexibly, so you won’t need to create more than one account.

 

Will my contact information be sold to third parties?
No.  QualifiedBookkeepers.com does not give, sell, or exchange any information with third party companies.  Individual Employees/Candidates are able to see your information, but only with your expressed consent, and when registering and indicating preference or at the time of the information request.

 

Did QualifiedBookkeepers.com create these Skill Tests?
No. QualifiedBookkeepers.com uses a third party public company who specializes in business solutions.

How much will a job posting cost me?
Employer Membership is

What is considered a passing score for each test?
The scores can be viewed against the scores of others who have taken the same test/s.  Once we have a significant number of test results, we will begin to publish the averages.

 

I’ve found a candidate I like.  Why can’t I see the Job Seeker’s contact information or resume?
When you find a candidate you would like to contact, click the "Inquire" button.  This will send an email to the candidate indicating your interest.  If the candidate is interested, they will approve the release of their contact information and you, as the employer, will be able to purchase their resume/contact information.

 

Can I request a candidate to take a test?
Yes, you can request and pay for a candidate to take a test to prove their skills.  (COMING SOON:  There will be a "Send a Test" button along with the "Inquire" button for sending a test to a candidate.  The employer will be able to further prescreen the candidate either online or in their office during an interview.)

 

How do I track candidates I’ve tried to contact or that have applied to my posted job/s?
You can track all your candidate requests under your Dashboard/Notifications and Jobs pane.

 

Why didn’t I receive a response from the candidate?
If the candidate is not interested in the position you have available, they may decline the request at which time the employer will receive a notification.  After 14 days, your request will cancel out.

 

How do I expire a job posting?

To turn off a job posting, you must be logged in as the user who posted the job. Go to the Jobs pane of your dashboard, and click the name of the job in the “Jobs I’ve Posted” section. Then click the “Edit” button on the right side of the page. On the right side of the edit job page, change the setting for “Searchable” to “No” .

I’ve filled out my profile.  How will employers contact me if my contact information is not showing?
When employers are interested in your qualifications, they will "inquire" and you will receive an email to approve the release of your contact information to them.  This keeps you in control of who receives your contact information.


I’ve found a job I like.  Why can’t I see the employer’s contact information?
You will need to apply to the job posting and the employer will contact you if they are interested.

 

Do I have to take a test?
Your first paid membership includes one test. While you don't have to take it, you should! It is one way that you can stand out from the other candidates.  These tests are offered to help you advertise your skills to employers as a qualified candidate. 

 

Where can I find information regarding each test?

Please see the "Pricing" page for a description of each test (click on the test name to read the description).

 

What if there isn’t a test for my specific skill? 
If this happens, please contact us and make a suggestion. We are more than happy to expand our testing options if we find a demand for additional skill tests.

 

Can I retake a test?
Yes.  When a test is retaken, the higher test result will be posted to your profile and the lower result will no longer be visible to employers.  You also have the option to toggle on/off your test results.

What happens when I apply to a job?
When you apply to a posted position, QualifiedBookkeepers.com sends an email to the employer asking them to review your resume/profile.  If they are interested, they can purchase your resume to obtain your contact information.

 

How do I track jobs I’ve applied to?
You can track all the jobs you have applied to on your Dashboard under the Jobs pane.

 

Why didn’t I receive a response from the employer?
The employer will contact you if they feel your skills are a good job match for their unique needs.

 

I’ve found a job.  Should I cancel my account?
You can deactivate your Profile from being viewed by potential employers (see below).  There is no need to cancel your membership, it will expire and become dormant once your paid membership period ends. 

 

How do I turn my emails on or off?
Log in, and go to My Dashboard; on the Account pane, there is a checkbox to enable/disable the email notifications. 

 

Can I hide my profile so other members can't see it?
Log in, and go to My Dashboard; on the Profile pane, click to edit your Candidate profile; there is a setting called "Searchable" that enable/disables your Profile visibility to other members.
